The 12 new solutions on Fosway’s 9-Grid for Talent Acquisition in 2023

A place on the Fosway’s 9-Grid means that a solution belongs to the very best that sector has to offer. For 2023, Fosway identified 12 new solutions that made the cut for its Talent Acquisition grid. 

What is the 9-Grid exactly?

The Fosway 9-Grid is a five-dimensional model that can be used to understand the relative position of different solutions and providers in a selecter market segment. It allows organisations to compare solutions on a number of different zones. Each solution is independently tested based on their performance, potential, presence, total cost of ownership and future trajectory. For recruitment and talent acquisition, it is one of the most sought-after analysis. 

‘TA Specialists heavily disrupt the status quo’

It is the third edition of Fosway’s 9-Grid for Talent Acquisition. Back in 2020, when the first grid was published, it was during a time where the market was undergoing ‘significant changes’. “Major Applicant Tracking System (ATS) providers were experiencing decline, as next-gen HM and TA suite players disrupted the market by enabling corporates to optimise recruiting strategies across the entire funnel.”

“However, only a few years later, these next-gen TA platforms are now themselves under pressure”, the report notes. “As TA Specialists heavily disrupt the status quo with new capabilities in intelligence, automation, and experience. Advances in Artificial Intelligence (Al) are accelerating this disruption further and transforming both the application process, as well as how organisations attract, hire, assess, select, onboard and develop their staff.”

12 new solutions

Every year, there are new inclusions and exclusions on the list. “Entries into the Fosway 9-Grid for are made based on the relevance of these solutions within Fosway’s Corporate Research Network, which focuses on European enterprise-scale corporates. As a result, there are a number of US-based solutions that are omitted because they do not currently have an adequate international presence for us to provide a relevant commentary. Conversely, there may be providers with little recoqnition outside EMEA that are included because they have built up enough presence with European customers to warrant inclusion.”

Appcast

Appcast is a first-of-its-kind programmatic job advertising platform that enables employers to promote their open positions across thousands of job and consumer sites on a ‘pay-per-applicant’ basis. The company is a part of the StepStone group. 

Arctic Shores

Arctic Shores is a behaviour-based assessment provider for employers and companies. The company’s solutions combine neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and game technology to generate data-driven people insights for more predictive and less biased hiring. 

AssessFirst

AssessFirst is a SaaS cloud-based software program using behavioural science and predictive analytics to identify applicants with the highest potential for future success and job matches.

CleverConnect 

CleverConnect is a specialist in Talent Experience in attracting, engaging and selecting talent. eArcu

eRecruiter 

eRecruiter is a suite provider, and part of Grupa Pracui. It is the most frequently used
recruitment system in Poland. It helps (mostly) Polish organisations improve their candidate experience as well as optimise their recruitment projects. 

HiredScore 

HiredScore is a specialist provider of Talent Augmentation solutions. It leverages the power of data science and machine learning to deliver deep hiring efficiencies. While enhancing talent mobility, and helping organisations adapt for the future of work. 

HireRoad

HireRoad is a Talent-Suite provider. It develops software that helps institutions find employees with the right skills to improve businesses.

JobSync

JobSync is a specialist in ecosystem orchestration. It is a recruitment marketing platform that integrates ATS’ into job sites, delivering two to five times more fully completed applications to recruiters.

onlyfy by XING

onlyfy by XING is a talent acquisition platform that combines active sourcing, passive sourcing and efficient application management under one roof – for a unique candidate experience. onlyfy is part of NEW WORK SE.

Paradox 

Paradox is a specialist provider in conversational recruitment, that can function as a suite in several verticals. It describes itself as an ‘AI company’ that helps companies capture and screen candidates, improve conversations and answer all candidate questions. 

SmartDreamers 

SmartDreamers is a leading recruitment marketing platform built for enterprises to accelerate talent acquisition by adopting the best from the world of marketing in talent acquisition. Their platform offers a full suite of tools and services, such as Career Sites, CMS, CRM, AI Automation, Paid Advertising, and Employer Branding solutions.
