The pandemic has accelerated a real shift in the European recruitment software market. HR Industry Analyst Fosway has created an overview of the latest trends in recruitment and the tech available for it.

Artificial Intelligence

One of their most significant solution trends is the adoption of AI to automate the hiring process. Better intelligence helps everyone make better decisions, as well as ensuring appropriate behaviors and reducing friction in the hiring process. Fosway claims that Data-driven insights should benefit everyone involved in recruiting: managers, recruiters and candidates.

Good-bye to the good old ATS

Fosway found out that the standalone ATS, that only cover the lower part of the recruiting funnel, is a thing of the past, giving way to modern TA suites that cover wider functional scope. Buyers now prioritse functionally broader suites and supplement with specialists to fill critical gaps. But whilst Cloud HR and talent suites are still mastering classic ATS foundations, they often leave candidate attraction and nurturing to talent acquisistion suites and specialists. But this will change in time, Fosway thinks.

Diversity

Diversity, equality and inclusion has moved front and centre in the US, hiring for diversity has also had a significant push across Europe too. Employers are increasingly underpinning the glossy marketing layer with more robust practices across all steps of the recruiting funnel. By optimising language in job descriptions, creating diverse talent communities, hiding specific candidate details during the selection process and measuring diversity metrics, organisations are finally starting to take diversity, equality and inclusion seriously, Fosway says.
