Scottish tech vendor Candidate.ID opens offices in New York and Singapore

The Scottish recruitment technology vendor Candidate.ID is preparing to open offices in New York and Singapore, thanks to increased customer demand. The Glasgow-based company has also welcomed 10 new employees to its Oswald Street office.

Entrepreneur Accelerator programme

Candidate.ID, a cloud-based recruitment provider and current cohort of Royal Bank of Scotland’s Entrepreneur Accelerator programme, identifies potential candidates through individuals’ online brand engagement, and already has a number of FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 clients on its customer list.

The Royal Bank of Scotland Entrepreneur Accelerator is the UK’s largest free business accelerator network, offering mentoring, insight and bespoke coaching developed for entrepreneurs who want to grow their businesses.

Potential candidates’ interactions

Adam Gordon, CEO of Candidate.ID, said: “Large organisations tend to have existing databases of contacts, but these can stretch into thousands of names, meaning it’s more time efficient to use more traditional job advertising routes. “We recognised that while some individuals might not apply directly for a new job, they are open to new opportunities if approached directly. By tracking and ranking potential candidates’ interactions with brands, we can approach those with genuine interest in the hiring companies, increasing the chance of recruitment and reducing time and money spent on the process.

Gap in the market

John Willoughby, Entrepreneurial Accelerator Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “As an experienced business owner and recruitment specialist, Adam spotted a gap in the market, taking a personalised approach to recruitment rather than casting the net wide. This saves time and money, so it’s no wonder large companies are realising the value of this service.

New York and Singapore

The opening of two new offices in New York and Singapore, as well as continued growth in Glasgow, will lead to approximately 50 new jobs by the end of 2020.

Interview

Last September Recruitment Tech TV interviewed Adam Gordon in Amsterdam at the first edition of Talent Acquisition Live. The 18th of April is the second edition and Candidate.ID will be present again. View the video below.
