A survey among 360 recruiters showed that a large majority is very happy about their applicant tracking system (ATS). Only a few percent of the attendees rate their ATS and provider as ‘Poor’.

Applicant Tracking System

An ATS (Applicant Tracking System) is popular software that can process dozens or even hundreds of applications in a fraction of the time. ATS systems use algorithms to automatically find the applicants who are best suited for a job opening. A recruitment system can also help coordinate hiring teams, streamlining the hiring process and improving the experience for everyone involved.

According to the participants of the survey from The FIRM, the ATS is by far the most commonly used to track metrics (54%), so the capability of the ATS has a big impact on how well these metrics can be followed. A large majority of the participants use an ATS or similar (93%) and that’s up from 88% last year. Only a few percent of the attendees rate their ATS as a product and their provider as Poor, as can be seen in the graphic. The ATS as product and service are equally well regarded – in both cases, 63% find them Good or Very Good. This is a similar result to last year.
