Talent cloud company iCIMS has announced the acquisition of SkillSurvey, a pioneer in skills verification and digital reference checking that is geared towards helping companies make the best possible talent decisions.
‘Taking the guesswork out of skills’
SkillSurvey was founded in 2001 and is based in the US. The company has always aimed at taking the guesswork out of verifying skills and the qualifications of candidates. As a provider of cloud-based reference checking, SkillSurvey’s solutions aim to help organisations save time and money by bringing the right employees on board faster to drive better performance outcomes. Its technology verifying skills and delivering feedback from references in a much quicker and more candid way that can be used earlier in the hiring process. SkillSurvey also has a catered credentials solution designed specifically for the healthcare sector.
Covering the entire talent journey

From integration to acquisition
SkillSurvey had already been a part of iCIMS, but just as an integration. In 2017 it was announced that the number of integrations between the two solutions had increased by 50% and continued to accelerate. The integration worked in such a way, that within a few days, recruiters get detailed candidate feedback reports with relevant job information to share with their hiring managers. SkillSurvey reportedly reduces first-year turnover by 35%.
