In Friday Fact, Recruitment Tech focuses on a fact about recruitment technology based on recent research. This week: optimizing recruitment process main driver of using recruitment technology.
Optimizing the recruitment process with technology
This was the conclusion of the Recruitment Tech Survey, which was completed by over 500 HR and recruitment professionals. No less than 270 recruitment and HR professionals indicated that optimizing the recruitment process is an important reason for using recruitment technology.
Candidate experience
In addition, recruiters and HR professionals believe it is important to have a positive candidate experience, which resulted in this being the second business driver for technology deployment among participants. Better reaching and approaching candidates closed the top three.
Reducing costs and bias
It was striking that the reduction of recruitment costs was only in tenth place, while this is often described as a major benefit of the use of recruitment technology: saving time (and therefore money) for the recruitment and HR department. At number twelve the survey participants rated ‘More diverse/bias free recruitment and selection’. This is a striking result because bias and discrimination are also hot topics in recruitment.
The top 10 ranking can be found below. The question the participants were asked was as follows: Which business drivers (external changes, developments and events) are most important for you to use recruitment technology?
