Demo_Day Europe will host a variety of interesting tech talks and break-outs. One of those interesting break-out sessions will be hosted by the CEO of Actonomy, Filip De Geijter. In this video interview De Geijter tells more about Actonomy and what you can expect from his break-out at the free online event the 15th of April 2021.

What is Actonomy?

“Actonomy is the pioneer in multilingual semantic search and matching software. With the aim to combine high-performance matching and maximum flexibility, Actonomy uses a unique combination of technologies such as AI, deep learning, language understanding and ontologies. Actonomy’s offerings consist of semantic search and matching solutions on the one hand and cloud-based solutions around data analytics, text extraction and analysis solutions and multilingual ontologies/taxonomies on the other hand.”

What will your break-out session be about?

“People used to say that experience-based matching was the buzzword, but now it’s all about skill-based matching. In reality, all matching is a combination of the two. Actonomy has created a one-of-a-kind environment that allows you to simulate the differences between skill- and experience-based matching. And that is essentially what we will explain in our break-out session.”

Why should we watch your break-out?

“Actonomy’s tooling allows for a lot of flexibility. And the tool we’ll show you, that simulates experience- and skill-based matching is truly special in the industry. We have a few components in our technology that are different from other solutions on the market since we have been operating for more than ten years. In our break-out, however, we will not be concentrating on technology. Technology can allow us to do things, but that is just the background.”
