After acquiring Sovren and Akyla, Textkernel, in collaboration with strategic software investor Main Capital Partners, is acquiring candidate engagement software vendor Joboti. Joboti managed to make a name for itself in the Benelux in recent years with its Whatsapp solution and won the Dutch Recruitment Tech Award in the ‘Best tooling’ category in 2022. The acquisition by Textkernel is in line with the global trend that specialised software is taken over by larger recruitment tech software companies.
Automation
The acquisition of Joboti brings together two innovative organisations with a shared vision for providing automated and scalable solutions for recruiters and recruitment professionals. Textkernel‘s advanced parsing and matching technology, combined with Joboti’s innovative automated candidate engagement technology, creates a powerful platform for recruiters to find and engage the right candidates with minimal effort.
AI-driven recruitment
“Joboti’s automated candidate engagement technology perfectly complements our AI-driven recruitment solutions,” said Gerard Mulder, CEO of Textkernel. “By integrating Joboti’s functionality, we can offer our customers an automated recruitment solution that allows recruiters to focus more on the customer experience and placing the candidate faster. This will significantly increase their efficiency, reduce costs and save them valuable time.”
Innovation
Luuk van Neerven, founder and CEO of Joboti, remarked: “The strategic combination with Textkernel is a great move for Joboti. We are excited to be part of a leading provider of AI solutions and to tap new markets for our candidate engagement technology. Together, we can develop even more unique and innovative recruitment solutions.”
Candidate engagement
By automating various communication workflows in the recruitment process, including job notifications, GDPR checks, pre-screenings, interview scheduling and feedback messages, Joboti’s technology streamlines the candidate application process while reducing the recruiter’s workload. This allows recruiters to focus on valuable tasks, such as engaging with available and interested candidates, while shortening the recruitment process of finding the right candidates for vacancies.
Buy-and-build strategy
The integration of Joboti’s technology into Textkernel’s AI-driven recruitment solutions enables customers to use advanced tools to reach candidates, improve the recruitment process and shorten time-to-hire. This strategic move represents another important milestone indicates Textkernel in its press release. The acquisition fits into its global buy-and-build strategy. For instance, it acquired Dutch VMS Akyla in 2022 and US-based Sovren in late 2021.
