Introducing: the AI in Recruitment Benelux Award 2023
Given the major role of AI in our daily lives and in recruitment, this year the AI in Recruitment Benelux Award 2023 will be awarded for the first time. Named after the AI in Recruitment podcast, it will be a part of the 2023 Recruitment Tech Awards. “Awarding of this prize fits well with its aim to showcase and interpret the role of AI in recruitment”, co-host Jasper Spanjaart said. “And there will be a European version of the award in 2024.”
Five AI ways of creating content for recruitment
So what are some of the ways recruiters can use Artificial Intelligence to create the content they need in their jobs? While job advertisements are probably the primary content form, this episode focuses on Content Personalisation, Social Media Management, Talent Branding and Employer Branding and Automated Email Campaigns.

With every form, however, co-host Martijn Hemminga sees various reasons to be judicious in the way recruiters opt to have their content created by an AI tool. “I think the most important thing is that you view it as an assistant. But when you’re strapped for time, and you just need some content to help find passive job seekers. Then I think it’s a great way of saving time if you just need ways to get your brand out there.”
’AI isn’t a Harry Potter-like magic wand’
In the episode: a preview of a special interview with Jan Govaerts of Belgium-based theMatchBox. “It’s not a Harry Potter-like magic wand, that you can wave around and all of your problems are gone”, Govaerts said. “AI needs to be used in a good, careful way. Because a lot of things can also go wrong. That’s what we’ve focused on with TheMatchBox. We use AI, but we keep a very critical eye to make sure we use it in the right place. But we are constantly innovating, doing research and development, looking at new algorithms.”
